Benefits of Working Together
In our first appointment, I will complete a full assessment of your health and diet, and together we will make a customized nutrition plan for you to try. Nutrition recommendations are chosen based on what I believe will most beneficial for improving your symptoms.
During our next appointments, I will check in and reassess your symptoms and diet. We will make adjustments as needed to help you feel better. We may follow the steps of the low FODMAP diet to help identify food triggers.
I always want to ensure that you are the right fit for my services. I highly recommend starting with a free 20-minute discovery call. Let’s discuss your nutrition goals and your options for my nutrition services.

FAQs
Feel free to reach out to me anytime to ask questions: Dietitian@LaurenRenlund.com
Can I start with a single appointment?
Yes! You can book an initial appointment to start. During the appointment, we can make a plan and decide if a package would be right for you. The cost of the initial appointment would be applied to any package.
Do you have weekend or evening availability?
Yes! Appointments are available Mon-Wed. Evening and weekend time slots can be offered upon request.
I don’t live in Alberta. Can we still work together?
Due to cross-border practice restrictions, I can offer virtual counselling to clients living in Alberta, Nunavut, Northwest Territories, Yukon, New Brunswick, and Newfoundland. Anyone in Canada or internationally can purchase my IBS Nutrition Made Simple course, which teaches my five steps to manage symptoms and maximize digestive health.
Can I use my health benefits/insurance?
Yes! Dietitian services are covered by many health plans and/or health spending accounts. After each appointment, I will provide a receipt that you can submit to your insurance.
Is this a general plan or personalized?
During our appointments, we will make a plan personalized to your health history, diet, and lifestyle. Every plan is unique to the client. You won’t just be given a generic plan.
What if I don’t feel better?
Most clients start to feel better after the first appointment. If digestive symptoms haven’t improved, I will make a new dietary plan to trial. I may discuss options for other healthcare providers who can provide complimentary therapies (e.g., psychologists, physiotherapists, doctors).
Can I pause my package?
Yes, life happens! Feel free to let me know if you need to take a break.
If I’m not satisfied, can I get a refund?
You can request a refund for any unused appointments remaining in your package.
